Nekowabaka is not just another ordinary neko, he is also a baka. For some reason, he knows how to play video games and other stuff nekos can't ordinarily do. It's a mystery why he rotates 90 degrees just to say \"Meow\" and flips vertically just to say \"Baka!\" (Which nekos don't ordinarily say.)
Nekowabaka also holds a job at a sushi bar, run by the famous Chef Suzuki. Outside of work, he tends to cause endless mischief in the surrounding area, often with his friend and co-worker, Sephiroth (with a more destructive approach to the art).

It's magical. It flies. It's tofu. It's the Magical Flying Tofu, w00t!!
The Magical Flying Tofu is Nekowabaka's primary source of transportation, often getting him out of situations where he needs a quick escape. How the Magical Flying Tofu came to be is unknown (except to Nekowabaka?), or if it's truly animated by magic.
The tofu has also shown signs of intelligence, as it's able to do things on its own.

Chef Suzuki is a well respected sushi chef from Japan. His skills are among the best, therefore, his sushi is of high standards. However, he doesn't like it when Nekowabaka jumps on the sushi carousel and eats all the sushi, and especially hates the fact that Nekowabaka is now an experienced chef under his employment. He looks for any possible excuse to fire him.
Because his restauraunt is under constant attack by his rival Chef Hyundai and his minions, Chef Suzuki has hired Sephiroth to act as his bodyguard.
On his off-hours, Chef Suzuki enjoys driving around town in his Honda.

Sephiroth is the bodyguard for Chef Suzuki and his restaurant, and a friend and co-worker to Nekowabaka. With (or without) the Ancient Sword of Mysterious Power (capable of summoning physical entities based on its wielder's training,) he's a force to be reckoned with.
On his off-time, contrary to being hired-on to prevent trouble, he's often the cause of it. Everything from fighting over a loaf of bread at a sub shop, to crushing electronic stores that provide bad service with giant Tetris blocks.
Sephiroth also tends to hang out at the local bar, ordering the best brands of tomato juice.

Officer Wasabi is one of the best officers on the force. He shouts at people if they commited any crime, even if it's an offense such as littering or jaywalking. He enjoys watching \"Cops\" when he's off duty.
Typically at odds with Nekowabaka and Sephiroth, he sometimes sets his differences aside, either as their friend or an ally.

\"Yelling AVC Guy\" (real name unknown) is the manager of the local AnimeVidCo (AVC), which specializes in selling video games, anime, and comics, including manga. While his people skills are questionable as he often yells at his customers, the store undeniably still runs like a champ under his management.
Strangely, he appears to be both the first victim and survivor of one of many summoned Tetris blocks from the sky, which began emerging after he sold a Tetris cartridge to Sephiroth. How he survived is unknown.

No one knows why the Email Frog jumps around and says \"email\" (as well as other words), but it's certainly a unique ability for an otherwise normal pixelated frog. Through this gift alone in the face of linguistic purism, he has managed to \"destroy\" the French language all by himself.
The Email Frog is also a heavy user of email, constantly using it throughout the day, every day. Though he only speaks one word at a time, his email conversations are far more complex and intellectual.
He also has the finest taste for great hamburgers, traveling the world to discover the best. Sometimes hangs out with Nekowabaka and Sephiroth.
Lefty and Righty, always facing the same direction as they're named, aren't real fish. They are made of ASCII characters and they live in a text-based screen mode. They swim in their virtual ocean and say a lot of nonsensical things. Once in a while, they may mimic others from the outside world. Their fish pond was programmed in QuickBASIC by their \"caretaker\", Nekowabaka.
They also fear the Blue (sometimes Red) Screen of Death, as well as the DOS prompt.

The Space Kittens fly around in their UFO on an unknown mission. They recently crash landed on Earth, where Nekowabaka found them somewhere near Area 51. The Space Kittens are quite playful and they'll often check out strange and unusual objects. No one knows which planet they came from.

In 1982, E.T. was given a chance to appear in a video game. Unfortunately, it was rushed to the market too quickly and it is regarded as one of the worst video games ever. After the Crash of 1983, he was executed, and millions of E.T. cartridges were buried in an Alamogordo, New Mexico landfill (aka \"Landfill of the Damned\").
To this day, he resides in the local graveyard, tied to an unmarked grave. Close to Halloween every year, he rises from his grave to give chase to Nekowabaka, who visits the graveyard to taunt the evil spirit and return him to his cursed tomb.

Chef Hyundai is an infamous sushi chef, whose customers to his restaurant never return for seconds (unless accompanied by a lawyer). For many years, he and his endless supply of minion ninjas have tried to steal Chef Suzuki's famous family sushi recipe, hoping to turn the tide of his career to success. His attempts time and time again are always thwarted by Sephiroth and Nekowabaka.
He hates it whenever people don't finish eating the sushi he prepared. But then again, we're talking about the same guy that evidently likes ketchup on his sushi (no thanks to The Ketchup Monster).

Jason, best known as the undead mass murderer from Camp Crystal Lake, has somehow stumbled into the Nekowabaka! comic after exhausting himself from numerous increasingly-bad sequels and a dreadful NES game (that only Venom plays).
His purpose in the comic, contrary to his past history, is to simply show up in the comic every Friday the 13th. And that's about it.
Then it's back to Crystal Lake - until the next 13th!

Venom is the creator of the Nekowabaka! webcomic, who created the comic under the deadly combination of numerous Vanilla Cokes and Ian jokingly telling him \"you should make an intentionally crappy webcomic about a cat that flips upside-down and says 'baka' for no reason\" (which he regrettably took seriously).
Some laughed. Others, however, felt a great disturbance on the web, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. (R.I.P. The Internet - April 1st, 2003)
Eventually, Venom even began to occasionally appear in his very own creation. His role? His purpose? \"Because he can.\"

Mr. Inflat-o-Raft (not to be confused with the famous \"Mr. Inflat-o-Raft\" line of inflatable rafts) is a master of disguise, able to deceive even the most brilliant of minds (or not-so-brilliant).
There's not much to say about Mr. Inflat-o-Raft. No personality, no history - the guy doesn't even have a pulse. Not even an explanation for the brilliance behind his illusions. But one thing is for certain:

Jack Thompson is a (disbarred) lawyer and a misguided anti-video game activist. He believes video games influence children to go on shooting rampages. Whenever someone challenges him to a debate, he always backs down like a coward. Jack Thompson's dream is to have the whole world censored \"for the children\". Whenever Jack Thompson says \"OR ELSE!\", it's always an empty threat.
The Ketchup Monster is a monster made of ketchup. Whenever people stop using ketchup for any reason, he gets angry and goes on a rampage. He will not hesitate to throw ketchup on any type of food, even if it makes the food taste terrible.
Recently, he's shown signs of wanting to clean-up, shifting from antagonist to friend and ally. The Ketchup Monster has been hunting for a legitimate career to pursue, but his bad habit of throwing globs of ketchup keeps getting him fired.
Despite his failures, he has shown great interest and potential in becoming a lawyer.

Sergeant Chipotle is similar to Officer Wasabi (family relation?) but far more aggressive and trigger-happy. He always uses excessive force, even in the least-extreme of situations. Whenever his rocket launcher is destroyed, he tends to storm off in a rage of anger.
Stationed out somewhere in New Mexico, Nekowabaka and Sephiroth often don't cross his path. But when it happens, a lot of things tend to get destroyed.

This alternate version of Nekowabaka is a co-star with his owner, Joseph, of \"The Neko Funnies\", drawn by real-life guest artist, Joseph Baffaro.
In this version of Nekowabaka!, Joseph is the owner of the very unusual (and cuter) housecat, his Nekowabaka.
Though he appears to be a typical cat at first glance, Nekowabaka can prove to be quite a handful, due to his deep curiousity with the human world. This is especially true with their food, their technology, and those unusual games where they stomp on big giant buttons.

Ian is the older brother of Venom, creator of the Nekowabaka! webcomic. Though he isn't entirely active with the comic, he does play an active role in helping develop the site (designed the comic-browsing script), as well as some of the art.
For some reason, over 300 numbered comics after Venom appeared in Nekowabaka!, Ian was finally dragged into it as well.
